Bitch began writing Bitchcraft eight years ago over the course of several moves and political movements. After landing in Los Angeles, she assembled a creative coven to complete the project including Anne Preven (Beyonce, Madonna, Demi Lovato), God-des, and Roma Baran (Laurie Anderson) who all advised her on the production.
Throughout their career they have worked with countless high-profile artists including Madonna, Paul Simon, Fatboy Slim, Calvin Harris, Neneh Cherry, and Bryan Ferry, produced 11 LPs and tirelessly toured the world, playing on some of the most respected stages; from huge outdoor raves to intimate parties.
Originally from Perth, Australia, Coenen’s bond with music started at just four years old when her mother put her in piano lessons. It was just a few years later that she picked up the electric bass, ordaining it her instrument of choice. Coenen then attended high school for performing arts, honing her vocal talent by singing in choirs.
