Los Angeles-based acoustic guitarist, singer and songwriter IAN GOTHE has released 'Blood On the Rooftops In Montrose,' the second track and video from his debut album MEMENTO. Due February 7, 2020 via the California-based Blackbird Record Label, the album was co-produced by IAN with Grammy-winning producer and engineer Jim Scott (Wilco, Tom Petty).

Acclaimed French-Canadian director, Francois Girard, joins Tom Needham on WUSB's THE SOUNDS OF FILM this Thursday at 6 pm in order to discuss his new film, THE SONG OF NAMES, based on the novel by Norman Lebrecht.

Actors Co-op Theatre Company's well-received production of the Los Angeles premiere and now Ovation Recommended production of MIRACLE ON 34th STREET: A Live Musical Radio Play, running through December 15, has added two Saturday matinees December 7 at 2:30 pm and December 14 at 2:30 pm.

“This is a tale that we want to believe in, that creates a world we seem to desperately desire, free of the blatant commercialism that surrounds us, where love and decency and generosity of spirit are their own rewards. What we want Christmas to be all about, really.” So writes the Santa Cruz Sentinel of this most heartwarming holiday story. By chance, Kris Kringle, an old man in a retirement home, gets a job working as Santa for Macy's. Kris unleashes waves of good will with Macy's customers and the commercial world of New York City by referring parents to other stores to find exactly the toy their child has asked for. Seen as deluded and dangerous by Macy's vocational counselor, who plots to have Kris shanghaied to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital, Kris ends up in a court competency hearing. Especially at stake is one little girl's belief in Santa. Performances are December 6th thru the 15th, 2019 and will be held at the Wigwam Theater (10190 Blacklick-Eastern Road Northwest, Pickerington, OH 43147). This week host Frank DiLella will take an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the iconic Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade by covering the full process, from rehearsals all the way to the parade route. DiLella will get up-close with Executive Producer Susan Tercero, Creative Director Rick Pomer, Creative Producer Welsey Whately and Senior Director of Production John Piper to discuss the parade's history and how hundreds of employees, family and friends, and Broadway stars help to carry on the annual tradition that features an array of beloved balloons from Snoopy to SpongeBob SquarePants, and of course jolly Old St. Nick. In addition, a world famous Radio City Rockette will share her first-hand experience performing in the parade.

Luckily, for audiences at Crossville's Cumberland County Playhouse (where Elf, The Musical runs through December 21 in a delightful and sparkling production helmed by producing director Bryce McDonald), the role of Buddy is entrusted to Chris Hallowes, who has proven himself the personification of the term a?oesong-and-dance mana?? during his tenure at the Playhouse, and who once again proves his mettle with his latest onstage assignment. Were it not for the fact we've always considered Hallowes a star, we'd say Buddy is a starmaking performance for him.

4th Wall Theatre will present the Houston premier of Will Eno's Broadway sensation 'The Realistic Joneses.' Eno's critically acclaimed play will re-unite 4th Wall Co-Artistic Directors Kim Tobin-Lehl and Philip Lehl as Bob and Jennifer Jones. Featured in this all-start cast will be guest artist Vaishnavi Sharma as Pony Jones. Ms. Sharma is perhaps most well-known for her regular appearances on Amazon Prime's 'Mr. Robot' alongside Academy Award-winner Rami Malek. She has also been featured in New York-based BEDLAM Theatre's 'Pygmalion' and the original smash hit production of Kate Hamill's 'Sense and Sensibility.' Drake Simpson will complete this stellar cast as John Jones. Mr. Simpson was last seen in 4th Wall's award-winning productions of 'Lobby Hero' and 'True West.' Returning to 4th Wall to direct is Jennifer Dean, who previously directed a beautifully realized production of 'Collected Stories' by Donald Margulies and a brilliant staging of 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' by Edward Albee. This collaboration of Houston's most highly recognized professional artists and a nationally recognized award-winning guest artist will surely make 'The Realistic Joneses' the theatrical event of the season.

Wagnerian vaudeville, parody pastiche, and Bayreuth burlesque await guests at DAS RHINESTONE, an evening of serious singing, sequins, and plenty of WTF operatic moments to get you in or distract you from the holiday spirit. Zachary James, appearing courtesy of The Metropolitan Opera, brings Wagner's diva daddy Wotan to glittering, semi-nude life at this one night only event on December 23 at New York's The Slipper Room (167 Orchard Street).

Michael Whitney's direction of ELF THE MUSICAL, now at Arizona Broadway Theatre through December 29th, is a merry tale told with smart stagecraft, glitzy well-choreographed numbers, and an energetic cast, led by Adam Vargas as Buddy.
