The Off Broadway Alliance will again sponsor 20at20, the bi-annual celebration of Off Broadway. The popular promotion, which begins today, January 21st and continues through February 9th, makes $20 tickets available for 48 Off Broadway plays and musicals twenty minutes prior to curtain. Now in its 8th year, 20at20 has become one of New York's most eagerly-anticipated promotions for budget-conscious theatre-goers.

Freud's Last Session will run today, January 17 through February 23, 2014 at TheaterWorks in Downtown Hartford.

Rubicon Theatre continues the company's 16th Not Your Typical Season with sardines and lingerie in NOISES OFF, a comic romp by Michael Frayn about the outrageous exploits of a company of actors which opens Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Rubicon Theatre, 1006 E. Main Street in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District.

According to the Daily Mail, Jemma Redgrave is set to play 'Lady Driver' in Michael Frayn's DONKEYS' YEARS in its run at the Rose Theatre, Kingston, beginning on February 6, 2014.

RAIN PRYOR stars in this effervescent solo show, which recounts her upbringing in a biracial household (her mother was Jewish) in Beverly Hills, Calif. Ms. Pryor, who sings & portrays a range of characters (including, poignantly, her father Richard in a spot-on impression), will appear in FRIED CHICKEN & LATKES for one performance only, Wednesday, December 11th at 8:30pm. The show, presented by The Inspired Word, will be performed at Tammany Hall on Orchard Street.

Actress Mischa Barton attended Bedlam's Saint Joan on Thursday evening, and loved the production so much that she returned to the Lynn Redgrave Theatre (45 Bleecker Street) the following night to take in a performance of Bedlam's Hamlet and to praise the company on the two shows! A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum will take the stage at the Shakespeare Theatre Company this holiday season. Making his STC mainstage directing debut, STC Associate Director Alan Paul heads up the hilarious and fun musical farce based on the classic plays of ancient Roman playwright Plautus. However, in Rehearsal for Murder, opening on November 8 at the Apollo Civic Theater in Martinsburg, WV, a routine read-thru turns into a determined inquest to find a killer and this murder mystery thriller does not contain most of the usual cliches one would expect.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) has selected Academy Award nominee Elizabeth McGovern as the 2013 recipient of The William Shakespeare Award for Classical Theatre (Will Award). KPMG, LLP will be awarded the Sidney Harman Award for Philanthropy in the Arts.
