Off Broadway Alliance Kicks Off '20at20' Deal For 48 Shows Today

The Off Broadway Alliance will again sponsor 20at20, the bi-annual celebration of Off Broadway. The popular promotion, which begins today, January 21st and continues through February 9th, makes $20 tickets available for 48 Off Broadway plays and musicals twenty minutes prior to curtain. Now in its 8th year, 20at20 has become one of New York's most eagerly-anticipated promotions for budget-conscious theatre-goers.

Rain Pryor to Bring FRIED CHICKEN & LATKES to Tammany Hall, 12/11

RAIN PRYOR stars in this effervescent solo show, which recounts her upbringing in a biracial household (her mother was Jewish) in Beverly Hills, Calif. Ms. Pryor, who sings & portrays a range of characters (including, poignantly, her father Richard in a spot-on impression), will appear in FRIED CHICKEN & LATKES for one performance only, Wednesday, December 11th at 8:30pm. The show, presented by The Inspired Word, will be performed at Tammany Hall on Orchard Street.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum will take the stage at the Shakespeare Theatre Company this holiday season. Making his STC mainstage directing debut, STC Associate Director Alan Paul heads up the hilarious and fun musical farce based on the classic plays of ancient Roman playwright Plautus.
