The award is given to an openly LGBT member of the entertainment or media community for their work toward eliminating homophobia. Starring role, Tony– and Emmy–nominated actor Jeremy Pope, The Inspection is a knockout drama based on his own experiences as a gay man in Marine Corps basic training following a decade of living on the streets. The film also stars Raúl Castillo, Bokeem Woodbine, and Gabrielle Union.
