This may be a community theater, but this is no amateur production. In almost seven years of reviewing shows across Utah, I’ve rarely come across both the level of talent and the production quality that the Timpanogos Community Theater offers with its rendition of ANASTASIA, directed by Andrew Jeffries.

With its superb acting and lovely harmonies, this is a production that will capture the hearts of the audience.

Dear Readers, we’re about to enter the realm of one of my favorite shows, “Once on This Island”, currently playing at Village Theatre. This gem of a show is, sadly, not often produced. In fact, I’ve only seen it twice, once on Broadway in 2017, and once in 2005, again from Village Theatre. Both of those productions hold very special places in my memory as being stellar shows. I tell you this for one reason and one reason only, I am very picky when it comes to this show.

The joyous and timely Tony-nominated play JAJA’S AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDING; a re-imagining of the acclaimed Ahrens & Flaherty musical A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE; the witty, life-affirming drama PRU PAYNE; the laugh-packed, Tony–nominated satire AIN’T NO MO’; and the  fiesta-fueled comedy LAUGHS IN SPANISH will make up SpeakEasy Stage Company’s 34th Season.
