Casting Announced For DIRTY DANCING in the West End

Coming to the Dominion Theatre for a limited run and exploding with heart-pounding music, breathtaking emotion and sensationally sexy dancing, the multitalented cast is led by Michael O'Reilly (West Side Story, Leicester Curve; Matthew Bourne's Lord of the Flies, Theatre Royal Plymouth) and Kira Malou (Fame, Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre; Penny on Mars, Disney Plus), who return to the roles of Johnny and Baby. O'Reilly made his professional debut straight from drama school in the role of Johnny in the 2018 tour.

BWW Review: DIRTY DANCING, Richmond Theatre

Dirty Dancing debuted on stage back in 2006. After numerous tours it is now back at Richmond Theatre, which has opened its doors for the first time in 559 days. The show is a faithful interpretation of the much-loved film following the story of 'Baby’ Houseman as she spends a summer discovering love, sex and relationships at a 1960s holiday camp.

Dirty Dancing was a box office hit in 1987, a coming-of-age summer romance between dance partners-cum-lovers Frances/'Baby' (Kira Malou) and Johnny (Michael O'Reilly). The film was first adapted for stage in 2004 and has enjoyed worldwide touring success over the years as well as two stints in London's West End.

DIRTY DANCING Announces Casting and Date For Upcoming Tour

Producer Karl Sydow has announced casting for the new 2018/19 UK tour of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage, as well as additional dates for 2019 in Ipswich, Manchester, Guildford, Grimsby, Glasgow and Bristol - on sale on Friday 20 July.

Casting has been announced for Salisbury Playhouse's family pantomime, Aladdin, which runs from Saturday 3 December to Saturday 7 January. Director Ryan McBryde and writer Andrew Pollard return following their hit Cinderella last year.

The 2016 national tour of Terence Rattigan's FLARE PATH, directed by Justin Audibert, opened on 27 January at the Connaught Theatre in Worthing. Daniel Fraser plays Teddy Graham and Audrey Palmer plasy Mrs Oakes.  Daniel played Gregory Cromwell in the acclaimed RSC productions of Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies in Stratford, London and on Broadway.  He also appeared in Chariots of Fire at Hampstead Theatre and in the West End and starred in the Sci-Fi films Frequencies and Lab Rats and the thriller Scar Tissue.  Check out a first look below!
