The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced initial casting today for the concert version of Paul Simon's THE CAPEMAN, running August 14-16 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. All performances for the three night concert version of THE CAPEMAN will be at 8 p.m. Free tickets will be distributed the day of the show.

In addition Corbin Bleu has added a final 3 additional weeks to his critically acclaimed run in In The Heights. As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, the 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights welcomes 19 Recordings/Jive Records platinum recording artist and 2007 'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks as Broadway's new Nina Rosario on August 19, 2010. 20 year old Jordin Sparks will be making her Broadway debut, playing a limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, November 14, 2010. During a Monday night concert, June 28, at House of Blues, Sparks surprised the audience with a teaser of her performance to come, singing 'Breathe' from In The Heights.
