Louis Cole to Release 'Quality Over Opinion' Album Featuring Genevieve Artadi, Sam Gendel, & More

Quality Over Opinion was written, performed, and produced by Louis in his home studio with contributions from a handful of close friends, namely Genevieve Artadi (“my no.1 music collaborator”); saxophonist Sam Gendel – Cole’s friend for 17 years; pianist Chris Fishman; Nate Wood from the band Kneebody; Marlon Mackey; and guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel.

To celebrate the news of the upcoming album, he shares a new single, “I’m Tight.” The new single arrives hot on the heels of “Let it Happen” — “a timeless modern power ballad classic” — released earlier this month. In contrast, “I’m Tight” is a sleek, laser-focused Funk rocket, based on an utterly irresistible bassline.

Experimental Seattle jazz act High Pulp are announcing new fall West Coast tour dates, following the April release of their ANTI- Records debut album ’Pursuit of Ends.’ High Pulp are also sharing a new video for the album track “You’ve Got To Pull It Up From The Ground,” that features GRAMMY® nominated jazz trumpeter Theo Croker.

Cast Announced for FENCES at American Blues Theater

American Blues Theater has announced the cast of August Wilson’s Fences, directed by Monty Cole. The intimate and up-close production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama will play to a capacity of 60 people per performance from July 1-August 6, 2022, at Theater Wit,1229 W. Belmont Ave.

The Colorado Music Festival (CMF) opens the 2022 season in Boulder, Colorado at the historic Chautauqua Auditorium on June 30, offering 22 concerts this summer and running through August 7, under the leadership of Music Director Peter Oundjian. John Adams is this summer's Composer-in-Residence, and the Takács Quartet are Artists-in-Residence.
