Loni Ackerman has been a longtime favorite of Broadway theatergoers. She captivated New York audiences in such coveted roles as Eva in Evita and Grizabella in Cats.

A 'Big' salute to songwriters Maltby & Shire, hosted and music-directed by Michael Lavine, brings us 'Closer Than Ever' to perfection. As tributes go, the one filled with the songs of Maltby and Shire, as they were bestowed the Lifetime Achievement Award, was tops. Filled with theatre and cabaret performers, it was a great night.

Monday, June 17, 2024 will be the American Popular Song Society 3rd Annual Gala Benefit. It will honor the award winning Richard Maltby, Jr.  and David Shire with a Lifetime Achievement Award at The Cutting Room.

Dancers Over 40's The Sassy Splits has joined the Broadway Show Bowling League for it's 2023 season.  Every Thursday evening, actors and staff of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows compete in the Broadway Show Bowling League. Games are played from 11:15 PM to 2 AM at Port Authority's Leisure Time Bowling Alley. Check out photos here!

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will present the return by popular demand of “Backstage Babble Live!,” which BroadwayWorld called “one of the starriest, most entertaining, and most magical nights of the theater season.” Based on the podcast hosted by 15-year-old expert Charles Kirsch, the concert will feature performances and stories from some of his guests.

A documentary about the life of Broadway great Laurie Beechman has just been released to view in its entirety. The film, which has been unavailable to view since its initial release in 2003, was directed by Gaylen Ross.

The OPC – short for The Old People's Channel – an original scripted podcast series created and written by Richard Curtis has released its 13th episode, the Season Finale.
