WAM Theatre's reimagined 2020 season will center on a creatively designed digital production of the area premiere of Lisa Loomer's celebrated play ROE, available October 17-20.  The digital production will be directed by WAM's Producing Artistic Director, Kristen van Ginhoven.

Artistic Director David Ivers and Managing Director Paula Tomei today announce a new initiative, SCR Community, an online series of free readings, events, interviews and community-centered stories to engage Southern California with the power of live theatre during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival today announced Branden Jacobs-Jenkins as the 37th and final commissioned artist as part of American Revolutions: the United States History Cycle, OSF's multi-decade program for developing new plays about moments of change in United States history.

WAM Theatre has announced that tickets go on sale Tuesday, March 3, for their fall Mainstage production of ROE by Lisa Loomer, directed by WAM Co-Founder and Producing Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven. The production will run September 24-October 11, 2020, presented at Shakespeare & Company's Tina Packer Playhouse in Lenox, MA.

UC Irvine's Claire Trevor School of the Arts (CTSA) will present Lisa Loomer's Living Out, a comic drama focused on immigration and working mothers. The show is directed by Jane Page, head of the directing program at UCI, and will be presented in the intimate Robert Cohen Theatre. The play opens on Saturday, March 7, with matinee and evening performances through Sunday, March 15, 2020.

ZACH Theatre has announced cast and creatives for the regional premiere of Roe written by Lisa Loomer. Tackling the politics of abortion through humor and humanity, Roe tells the story of the two women's lives behind the 1973 Roe v Wade decision. Directed by Theatre en Bloc's award-winning founder and Producing Artistic Director, Jenny Lavery, Roe will play The Topfer at ZACH, April 8-May 3, 2020.
