The Barrow Group has announced complete casting for the second show in their 2016/17 season, Henrik Ibsen's ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, in a new adaptation by Seth Barrish and K. Lorrel Manning.

Broadway pizazz, hometown nostalgia, pure imagination, and parenting at its funniest - audiences can expect all this and more during The Carnegie's 2017-18 Theatre Season.

In Washington D.C. we are at the center of political activity. Today we inaugurate the 45th President of the United States and tomorrow thousands are expected to attend the Women's March on Washington. In light of this, the world premiere of ROE at Arena Stage was all the more timely.

Following an acclaimed run at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Lisa Loomer's world-premiere drama Roe makes its D.C. debut at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. Directed by Bill Rauch, the drama focuses on the two women at the heart of the landmark Roe v. Wade case-plaintiff Norma McCorvey and her attorney Sarah Weddington-and documents their shockingly divergent journeys following the case, that would come to mirror the polarization in American culture. Roe is a co-production with Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Berkeley Repertory Theatre and runs January 12-February 19, 2017 in the Kreeger Theater. Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the world premiere production of Roe written by Lisa Loomer and directed by Bill Rauch. Roe is a co-production with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Arena Stage.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival wrapped up the 2016 season on October 30 with the final performances of Great Expectations, Richard II, Twelfth Night and The Yeomen of the Guard. Preparations for the 2017 season and 2017 member ticket sales are already underway. The 2017 opening weekend is February 24-26; preview performances begin February 17.

People in the St. Louis area have two opportunities to see the show. Center of Creative Arts (COCA, 524 Trinity Ave, St. Louis, MO 63130) will be hosting a performance on Saturday, October 15th at 8pm and The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (130 Edgar Rd, Webster Groves, MO 63119) will be hosting a performance on Monday, October 24th at 8pm. All performances will be free of charge.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival's growing reputation as an incubator for some of the best new American plays continues this fall and winter, as commissions from the "American Revolutions: The United States History Cycle" program and other new work will grace stages across the country.

?WaterTower Theatre Managing Director Gregory Patterson and Associate Artistic Director Kelsey Leigh Ervi today announced the directors for the upcoming 2016-2017 WaterTower Theatre Main Stage Season in The Canterbury Family Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre.   Directing the season opener, Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash (October 7- 30, 2016) is B.J. Cleveland with Musical Direction by Sonny Franks.  Next up, the regional premiere of Silent Sky (January 20-February 12, 2017) will be directed by Kelsey Leigh Ervi.  The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens, and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord (April 14-May 7, 2017) will be directed by Emily Scott Banks.  Rene Moreno will return to direct Native Gardens (June 2- 25, 2017). Sunday in the Park With George (July 28-August 20, 2017) will be directed by Terry Martin, with Musical Direction by Jeff Lankov.

Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre revealed that Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' Obie Award- winning play, An Octoroon, will be the seventh and final production in its upcoming 2016-17 subscription season. The West Coast premiere of the reworking of the mid-19th-century play will be performed in the Peet's Theatre in June 2017.

Hero Theatre announced today that the company will end its 2016-2017 season with a full production of The Conduct of Life by famed Cuban American playwright, Maria Irene Fornes. The production will star Nick Tarabay (Castle, Spartacus and Syfy's The Expanse), and will be directed by the Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Theatre Center, Jose Luis Valenzuela.

From an all-female production of William Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" to a weekend Hip-Hop showcase to the classic "Rocky Horror Show" musical, the 2016-17 season at the University of Colorado's Department of Theatre & Dance promises fun, thought-provoking entertainment for audiences of all ages and tastes.

Actor, Writer, and Spoken Word Poet Gabriela Ortega returns to the Hollywood Fringe festival with the debut of her solo performance Las Garcia, a poignantly funny piece about two women of the same bloodline, fighting to find themselves through love, war, and their innermost desires. Directed by Alex Alpharaoh, Ortega explores what it means to be an independent woman in a dependent world, where conflict is always looming around the corner. Las Garcia begins its run on Sunday, June 5th - June 25th at Asylum @ Studio C Artists.
