Fairfield Center Stage, a community theater group, begins its second season of the online variety show, FAIRFIELD CENTER COUCH, with a holiday variety special, FAIRFIELD CENTER COUCH HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA! This performance will be broadcast on Facebook Live and also be made available on YouTube after the performance.

Fairfield Center Stage, a local community theater group, will present an outdoor, socially-distanced ABBA-themed concert on the back lawn of The Scandinavian Club on Saturday, October 24th 2020 at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

Texas Performing Arts Executive Director Bob Bursey announced today that all Texas Performing Arts performances will be suspended for the next six weeks, through April 25.  This extends and expands the previously announced postponement of events in Bass Concert Hall through March 30th, including the postponement of the remainder of the scheduled Broadway in Austin performances of Disney's Aladdin.

It's time that we quit using labels do define who we are.  This is a challenge given to the audience who attend 'Lisa Lampanelli's Losin' It,' which is currently playing at the Temple Theatre as part of Des Moines Performing Arts and Prairie Meadows Temple Comedy Series. Acclaimed singer and actress Erin Leddy (Ghostlight the musical; Anything Goes; The Great Gatsby) and multiple award-winning performer of stage and screen Tim Realbuto (who recently won The Hollywood Moving Image Award for Best Leading Actor for the motion picture YES) will bring their new concert From Broadway With Love to The Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Cafe on West 42d Street, right in the heart of midtown. The concert will take place at 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 13th, just in time for Valentine's Day. The two best friends are teaming up again after a very successful concert called Crossroads that they performed in 2018 at The Green Room 42.

How Pat Addiss arrived at her second act as a Broadway producer, is at the  heart of her fascinating story Necessity is the Mother of Re-invention  which she'll share on Tuesday September 17, 6:00pm, as the kick-off presenter for the Palace Theater's  2ND ACT series. The presenters have been selected for the upcoming second season of 2ND ACT,  the Palace Theater's acclaimed speaker's series that features stories by  people post age 50, who are doing some extraordinary things after mid-life. Among them is Pat Addiss, a Broadway producer based in New York who will kick the series off on September 17 with her presentation, Necessity is the Mother of Reinvention and Lisa Lampanelli, formerly known for her acerbic comedic style, who is now a life coach.  She'll be presenting her new show Losin' It on the main stage of the theater on November 16.

The Palace Theater is observing its 15th performance season this year since re-opening in 2004 and the programming reflects this milestone worthy of celebration.

Fairfield County native, and winner of season one of "The Voice," Javier Colon, will be starring as one of Bridgeport's favorite sons this summer when he portrays the Greatest Showman on Earth in the musical Barnum at the Fairfield Museum Commons the weekend of June 27 - 29.
