NBC has crowned comedians Franqi French and Rene Vaca as the winners of its 16th annual StandUp NBC competition, the network's annual nationwide search for comedians of diverse backgrounds. This marks the first time in the celebrated program's 16-year history that two winners have been chosen in a single year.

SHOWTIME has announced that the third season of its drama series THE CHI, which will feature series creator and Emmy® winner Lena Waithe (Queen & Slim, Boomerang) in a multi-episode arc as a Chicago mayoral candidate, will debut on Sunday, July 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association's Winter Press Tour.

Comedy Central returns to the Jacob K. Javits Center at New York Comic Con with interactive activations celebrating the 23rd season of South Park and the long-waited return of Crank Yankers. Two-time Grammy(R) nominee Luke James (Star, Little), La La Anthony (Power) and Lil Rel Howery (Get Out, Bird Box) have signed on to guest star in multiple episodes of the third season of the SHOWTIME drama series THE CHI. In addition, writer Justin Hillian (Snowfall) has been named showrunner and executive producer this season. Birgundi Baker (Empire, Chicago Med), who plays Kiesha, has been upped to a series regular. THE CHI is currently in production in Chicago and will return to the network in 2020.

CBS All Access today announced a number of new guest stars are set to appear in season three of the service's Funny Or Die comedy series NO ACTIVITY, which will debut later this fall.
