Austin Rainbow Theatre Presents SORDID LIVES This October

Austin Rainbow Theatre, Central Texas' new home for LGBTQIA+ theatre, presents their inaugural production of Del Shores' raucous Texas comedy Sordid Lives at Ground Floor Theatre October 6-14th. This production stars nationally-acclaimed drag entertainer and local celebrity Nadine Hughes as Brother Boy, a role previously made famous by the late Leslie Jordan. Written by trailblazing playwright & 'master of Texas Comedy,' Del Shores, this hilarious romp is filled with southern charm and underscores what it means to be queer in Texas.

CINEMA DIVERSE Is Back At Palm Springs Cultural Center

The Sixteenth edition of Cinema Diverse: The Palm Springs LGBTQ+ Film Festival will soon be underway. The schedule is set and tickets and passes are now on sale. The festival, which includes forty nine feature films and over 100 short films this year, runs for two long weekends at the Palm Springs Cultural Center: September 21-24 and September 28-October 1. Films will be screening in all three of the Camelot theatres. 

Buck Creek Playhouse to Present SORDID LIVES in August

Buck Creek Players will present the first show of its 50th season with this play on their mainstage. 6 live in-person performances will be held at the playhouse starting Friday, August 4th and running through Sunday, August 13th. 

Terrence McNally and More to Be Inducted to the LGBTQ Wall of Honor

The International Imperial Court System and the National LGBTQ Task Force are honoring seven legends of the LGBTQ movement as 2023 National LGBTQ Wall of Honor inductees at the historic Stonewall Inn. Among those being honored this year is playwright Terrance McNally.
