The plays of Shakespeare have been translated into more than one hundred languages, and his timeless stories have inspired great works in many art forms. For the second year in-person after creating the series during the pandemic, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) and the Coolidge Corner Theatre ('the Coolidge') are teaming up to take an in-depth look at how some filmmakers have brought Shakespeare's stories to the screen. 

A stage adaptation of Smash will be helmed by 5-time Tony-winning director Susan Stroman, with a score by the Tony- and Grammy-winning duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. We have all the details on the Broadway production!

Manhattan Theatre Club’s world premiere The Best We Could (a family tragedy), written by Emily Feldman and directed by Daniel Aukin will now begin preview performances on Wednesday, February 8, at New York City Center – Stage I.

The creative team adapting F. Scott Fitzgerald’s landmark novel The Great Gatsby into a Broadway-bound stage musical has been announced. It will feature music & lyrics by Tony Award nominees Nathan Tysen & Jason Howland, and a book by Jonathan Larson Grant winner Kait Kerrigan, helmed by award-winning director Marc Bruni.

Film Mode Entertainment (FME) has announced the AFM world market premiere of the new crime heist comedy THREE DAY MILLIONAIRE.
