Brian Dunne has announced the April 10 release of his independent new album Selling Things, which was produced by Andrew Sarlo (Big Thief, Nick Hakim, Caroline Rose, etc). Representing a period of personal and artistic growth for the Brooklyn singer/songwriter, Selling Things offers a bolder, more direct approach as it pushes Dunne's sound further into indie/pop territory. What happens when the repertoire of George Gershwin goes country? We're about to find out, thanks to Michael Feinstein. According to Forbes, the music man has already recorded an album in Nashville, titled Gershwin Country, which will be released soon by Concord. Artists featured on the album, which was executive produced by Liza Minnelli, include Lee Ann Womack, Brad Paisley, Amy Grant, Lyle Lovett, Ronnie Milsap, Vince Gill, Alison Krauss and Rosanne Cash.

The Country Music Association visited Albuquerque Tuesday, Oct. 15 with songwriters Lauren Alaina, Erin Enderlin, Sierra Hull and Luke Laird. While in Albuquerque, the group met with students and teachers from Albuquerque High School as part of U.S. Bank's Community Possible giving and engagement platform and its Places to Play partnership with the CMA Foundation, followed by a CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank performance at KiMo Theatre.

The Country Music Association's acclaimed CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank has announced a performance in Albuquerque at KiMo Theatre Tuesday, Oct. 15 featuring Lauren Alaina, Erin Enderlin, Sierra Hull and Luke Laird. The series hosts an intimate round of performances with some of Country Music's top songwriters taking turns sharing the stories behind their hit songs and performing them as originally written. Tickets for the performance are $15 and go on sale Friday, Sept. 20 at 11:00 AM/CT (10:00 AM/MT) through the KiMo Theatre website and CMA Songwriters Series website. $1 of each ticket sold will benefit the CMA Foundation, CMA's philanthropic arm, which is committed to investing in high quality music education programs for all students in the United States.

C0-produced by Grammy winners Dan Auerbach(The Black Keys) and Dave “Fergie” Ferguson (John Prine, Mac Wiseman, Del McCoury, and more), the new full-length album was, as it usually is for Marvel, an easy-going, collaborative effort.
