Maestro Luke Frazier and The American Pops Orchestra - Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra - will open their all-star 2016-2017 season with I'll Be Seeing You: A World War II Love Story on Veterans Day, tonight, November 11 at 8:00 PM.

By sheer serendipity, Jhett Tolentino's scant introduction to the theater in his native province of Iloilo in the Philippines has led him to the industry's rarefied domain as a Broadway producer.

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the legendary musical MISS SAIGON, recorded live in London's West End, plus an epic finale featuring special appearances from original cast members Jonathan Pryce, Lea Salonga, and Simon Bowman, among others, when it comes to select SM Cinemas across the Philippines on Saturday, November 12, and Sunday, November 13, only.

Straight from the bright lights of Broadway to the big screen, and inspired by the true-life experiences of George Takei ('Star Trek,' 'Heroes'), Allegiance tells the moving story of one family, inspired by Takei's, whose life is upended by the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII.

Maestro LUKE FRAZIER and THE AMERICAN POPS ORCHESTRA - Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra - will launch the 12:15 PM lunchtime concert series "THIRD THURSDAYS" to highlight the unique musical personalities and special talents of the members of their acclaimed ensemble at Live! at 10th and G (First Congregational, UCC Washington - 945 G Street NW, Washington, DC 20001). Admission to the 30 minute events are free, but a free-will offering will benefit the DC Youth Orchestra Program, where Mr. Frazier is an Artist-in-Residence. 

Show business tour de force Jamie deRoy brings her star-packed Jamie deRoy & friends cabaret show to New York's famed Birdland, Sunday, October 16, at 6 p.m.

Actor Alistair Brammer played the lead role of Chris in the acclaimed West End revival of Miss Saigon. During his run, the show celebrated its 25th anniversary with a gala performance recently broadcast in the US, and appearing in UK cinemas for one night only on 16 October.

Disney & Sony are currently seeking an Asian director for their respective projects. According to the report, award-winning helmer Ang Lee was approached by Disney for the job but passed on the opportunity.

Yesterday, according to Vulture, Disney had allegedly posted a spec script which revealed that the studio was looking to cast a white, male actor described as a '30-something European trader' who will fall in love with Mulan and ultimately save China.

Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp made their debut in Broadway's cultural phenomenon RENT.  Chita Rivera - who has reached legendary status - has starred in Chicago and Kiss of the Spider Woman and many more iconic roles. These talented performers are just a few among a long list of countless stars who will be appearing in the 2016/2017 Ridgefield Magazine Broadway and Cabaret Series at The Ridgefield Playhouse.  This exciting series brings Broadway legends and legends-to-be to the Connecticut community!

Today, Variety reports that the project has now been fast-tracked and is expected to hit theaters on November 2nd 2018.
