Los Angeles-based jazz vocalist, pianist, and composer Niia has announced a special slate of live shows for two nights only: February 23rd at Blue Note NYC and March 1st at Blue Note LA.

Acclaimed songwriter, musician and producer Lawrence Rothman’s new song, “Dreams Die Hard,” just debuted in addition to the official music video, directed by renowned director Floria Sigismondi. Dreams Die Hard is the latest track unveiled from Rothman’s anticipated new album, The Plow That Broke the Plains, which will be released April 26. Watch the video here!
“LAX” was inspired by a trip Rothman took to Tennessee, where they stayed in a historic cabin outside of Nashville once inhabited by Leonard Cohen in the late ‘60s. It was during this trip/visit that Rothman was rushed to the hospital, an experience that led them to reflect on their near-fatal battle with anorexia and the pain.
Lawrence is known for their work, which includes their recent album, 2021's acclaimed Good Morning, America (feat. Lucinda Williams, Amanda Shires, Marissa Nader, Girlpool, etc) as well as their work as a producer and songwriter for artists including Angel Olsen, Margo Price, Amanda Shires, Kali Uchis, Kim Gordon, SASAMI, Soccer Mommy and more.

Spears collaborated with Duskdriven, Yves Tumor, and Grammy-nominated producer Chris Greatti on Monstar, which blends genres of pop, rock, hip hop, and punk. Other collaborators on the project include Nation, Nicholas Weiss, and Pablo Meléndez. Yves Rothman mixed the EP.

Starring Finn Wolfhard, Mackenzie Davis and Brooklynn Prince, the film will be released in theaters on January 24, 2020.
