Animus Theatre Company (Jonathan Judge-Russo, Founding Artistic Director), an artist-driven company whose mission is to explore and illuminate the resilience of the human spirit, is thrilled to announce that their annual 12-Hour Reading Festival will return once again to Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre on Thursday, July 19, beginning at 11:00am. Having previously presented two successful 12-Hour Reading Festivals, the company is excited to announce that this year's festival will showcase the repertoire of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Beth Henley (Crimes of the Heart).

Not to be missed! Two River Theater is now presenting 'Songbird.' Set in Nashville, Tennessee, it is an intriguing story based on Anton Chekhov's 'The Seagull' that deals with the complexities of human relationships. Written by Michael Kimmel, with music and lyrics by Lauren Pritchard, the show features the finest direction by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, choreography by Marc Kimelman, and musical direction by Kris Kukul.

Two River Theater (Artistic Director John Dias, Managing Director Michael Hurst) presents Songbird, based on Chekhov's The Seagull, written by Michael Kimmel, with music and lyrics by Lauren Pritchard, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch. The choreography is by Marc Kimelman. The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today further selections for 2018 NYMF. The final invited production as well as a series of developmental readings and concerts will join the initially announced Next Link Projects. Now in its fifteenth year, the 2018 Festival will take place July 9th through August 5th at locations on West 42nd St. in New York City. Dan Markley serves as NYMF Executive Director and Rachel Sussman serves as Producing Artistic Director.

I Hate New York: A Love story is a jukebox musical written by Emily Esposito (Fame: National Tour) about what it's like to date in NYC. With music by Sara Bareilles, Pink, Ed Sheeran, and a wide array of other pop artists we are taken a journey of the horrors of online dating, dealing with exes, and the great phenomenon knows as ghosting.
