Houston Ballet Presents the 15th Annual MARGARET ALKEK WILLIAMS JUBILEE OF DANCE

Mobballet Announces First Annual Dance Education Symposium

MoBBallet announces its first annual symposium entitled “Inspiration, Education, Perspiration,” October 11-13, 2019 in Philadelphia, PA. Hosted by Pennsylvania Ballet, the three-day symposium will focus on personal and professional development, education, and mentorship for intermediate to pre-professional level Black Ballet students.

Brave New Workshop Presents SHAME OF THRONES

Follow our intrepid heroes (the cast of the Brave New Workshop) as they prepare for epic battle against the most dangerous enemy of all: SHAME. Can they survive cancel culture, social media, and the self-loathing that accompanies just being Minnesotan? Join the guilt-trip of a lifetime at the BNW's hilarious and all-new sketch comedy show, Shame of Thrones: Stupidity War, which opens officially Friday, June 28 and runs through October 12, 2019. This is the BNW's 301st production since opening in 1958 under founder Dudley Riggs.

Brave New Workshop Lampoons Holidays With 299th revue

Happy Holihaze! Brave New Workshop is back, rounding out its 60th Anniversary Season with a look in Santa's dime bag for Angels We Have Heard Are High (O Holy Crap!). This year's annual holiday romp features all-star cast Lauren Anderson, Denzel Belin, Doug Neithercott, and Taj Ruler. Anderson, Belin, and Ruler are all fresh from Brave New Workshop's 'Ferris Meuller's Day Off,' while Neithercott is making his Brave New Workshop debut.

Paola Hartley, Karl Condon And Ilya Kozadayev and More Will Be On Faculty For Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive

ZHONG-JING FANG, soloist of American Ballet Theatre, PAOLA HARTLEY, former principal dancer of Ballet Arizona, KARL CONDON, former principal dancer of the Boston Ballet, and ILYA KOZADAYEV, former soloist of the Houston Ballet will be on the Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive to be held in Shreveport, Louisiana.   Zhong-Jing Fang and Paola Hartley will be on the faculty from July 23-27, 2018, and Karl Condon and  Ilya Kozadayev will be on the faculty from July 30-August 3, 2018.  

Houston Ballet Presents DON QUIXOTE

Houston Ballet presents the much-anticipated return of former Artistic Director Ben Stevenson's Don Quixote, a thrilling revival of the classic tale, gracing the stage for the first time in more than a decade. Houston Ballet continues their Hometown Tour in venues across the city, performing this exciting ballet at The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts April 13-15, 2018.

ASL-Interpreted Performance Announced for Brave New Workshop's THE POLARIZING EXPRESS

The Brave New Workshop Theatre (BNW) welcomes deaf and hard-of-hearing patrons to enjoy an ASL-interpreted performance of their hit sketch comedy revue 'The Polarizing Express: Dysfunction Junction' This show, interpreted by professional ASL interpreters Carlos Grant and Tarra Grammenos, will be on Friday, January 19th, 2017 at 8:00pm at the Brave New Workshop Theatre at 824 Hennepin Ave in downtown Minneapolis.

WLDRNSS (formerly Theatre Forever) Premieres WHEN I NOD MY HEAD YOU HIT IT WITH THE HAMMER

This fall, WLDRNSS will present the world premiere of When I Nod My Head You Hit It With The Hammer, a highly visual, playful and personal devised play about outdated internal maps, memory, hope and change. WLDRNSS is welcoming England-based theater artist (and long time friend of director Jon Ferguson) John Cooper to co-create and perform in the piece. The play will premiere at The Southern Theater on September 15, 2017, running through September 23, 2017.

Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers to Salute Kenny Rogers at 2017 Texas Medal of Arts Awards

GRAMMY® Award-winning Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers will salute fellow Texan and music legend Kenny Rogers at the 2017 Texas Medal of Arts Awards onToday, February 22 at the Texas Performing Arts Center in Austin.  The Gatlin Brothers and vocalist Vikki Carr will perform Rogers' classic hit 'Islands In the Stream' before presenting him with theLifetime Achievement Award.  Larry Gatlin and Carr will also perform Rogers' 1980 #1 hit, 'Lady.'
