The ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) honored David Patrick Columbia at the 22nd annual ASPCA Bergh Ball last night at The Plaza in New York City. The event raised $1.1 million to support the ASPCA's life-saving work for animals. Renowned fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi returned as the Master of Ceremonies, while DJ Sam French entertained the crowd throughout the evening. The producers of Broadway's Gettin' The Band Back Together, announced today that the show will close on Sunday, September 16 following the evening performance. It will have played 30 previews and 40 performances at the Belasco Theatre (111 W 44thStreet). Previews began on July 19 and the show opened on August 13.
