The Tony Award-winning Best Musical A STRANGE LOOP will play its final Broadway performance on January 15, 2023. Michael R. Jackson’s A STRANGE LOOP opened April 26, at the Lyceum Theatre. A Strange Loop was named Best Musical by the Tony Awards.

During the interview, the cast of “A Strange Loop” surprised Hudson with a video message, as Michael and Jennifer announced that they will collaborate on a reimagined version of the musical’s song “Boundaries” as a bonus track on the “A Strange Loop” cast album. Bob the Drag Queen will host a Big, Black and Queer Night for the Tony Award-winning Best Musical A STRANGE LOOP on Thursday, October 27, at 7 p.m.

Founding Artistic Director George Strus has announced the complete cast and additional creative team members for the inaugural Breaking the Binary Theatre Festival. Curated by Strus, Dominique Rider and Josephine Kearns, Breaking the Binary Theatre Festival will feature seven evenings of work created and developed by TNB2S+ theatermakers.

Tony Award nominee L Morgan Lee (she/her, A Strange Loop) will direct the final evening of Breaking the Binary Theatre Festival – an evening of 15 newly commissioned monologues created by members of the TNB2S+ community - on Sunday October 16 at 7:00pm at Theatre Row’s first floor space, Theatre One.

 Broadway Black presents The 2nd Annual Antonyo Awards, which honors Black theatre artists during the 2021-2022 season. The live, in-person ceremony will be held on Monday, October 10 at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem (253 West 125th Street). Awards in 29 competitive categories and five honorary categories will be presented along with performances and guest appearances. 

Angelica Ross will take on the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway next month. Ross makes her Broadway debut in the role beginning Monday, September 12, 2022. Ross has given an inside look into rehearsals with a video on her official Twitter account of the song 'Nowadays'.

The summer concerts — free and open to all New Yorkers — will include performances from 2022 Tony Award Nominee Shoshana Bean (Wicked, Waitress, Mr. Saturday Night), 2022 Tony Award Winner Matt Doyle (Company, Spring Awakening), Ashley de la Rosa (Hamilton, Mean Girls, Rent) and Jelani Remy (The Lion King, Ain’t Too Proud).

Beginning today, Friday, August 12 at 11AM, same day $55 digital rush tickets will be available for Broadway’s A STRANGE LOOP. Digital rush tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, throughout the day, until 30 minutes before the performance time. One person may buy up to 2 tickets at $55 each.

The Broadway company of the Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago will welcome actress and human rights advocate Angelica Ross (“Pose,” “American Horror Story”) making her Broadway debut in the role of Roxie Hart beginning Monday, September 12, 2022.

The cast and crew of A STRANGE LOOP celebrated 100 performances at the Lyceum Theater over the weekend, Saturday July 23rd, with special cookies from 42nd Sweet by Marissa Gonzales. Check out photos from their celebration here!

Octopus Theatricals, in partnership with Phantom Limb Company and Arts Brookfield, announced a series of new mobile puppet performances collectively titled, “THE PUPPET CYCLE: Small World Stories.” Commissioned by Arts Brookfield, the performances are free, open to the public and will premiere at Brookfield Properties' Manhattan West, Zuccotti Park, and Brooklyn Commons in late July and August.

Tickets for A STRANGE LOOP, the 2020 Pulitzer Prize Award winner for Drama and Tony Award winner for Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical, are now on sale through Sunday, January 15, 2023.

BroadwayCon, the premiere fan convention for all things Broadway returns July 8-10, 2022 at the Manhattan Center & The New Yorker Hotel, this year's BroadwayCon marks the convention's first in-person gathering in two years, bringing theatre fans closer than ever to some of Broadway's newest and most exciting shows.

Hillary Clinton will be moderating a BroadwayCon panel with legendary women of Broadway! The panel will feature LaChanze, Julie White, and Vanessa Williams, and take place on Friday, July 8 at 1 PM. 

The Dramatists Guild of America and National Queer Theater will present “Dreaming the Queer Future: TGNC Representation and Playwrights in the American Theatre” on July 10 at 11:20am at BroadwayCon.
