Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater are open this February with a full slate of nightly performances! 

Gregory Porter will perform live at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday, February 12 for his annual Valentine's Day concert with Superblue: Kurt Elling featuring Charlie Hunter plus Samara Joy.

The Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami (MOCA) is currently exhibiting “My Name is Maryan” – a monographic presentation of four decades of paintings, sculptures, drawings and film by the iconoclastic, ground-breaking Polish-born artist Maryan.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has announced the recipient of its 2021 JazzLive Legacy Award is Dr. Harry Clark, a distinguished administrator of 30 years for Pittsburgh Public Schools and supporter of arts programs in schools. The award was established by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust in 2018 to acknowledge a regional jazz artist for their incredible contribution to this music genre in Pittsburgh and beyond.

In this celebratory return to live performance, ETHEL joyfully takes the stage, bursting with energy and a dazzling array of their concert favorites. This marks the group's second live performance since March 2020.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts' renowned Jazz Series returns for the 2021 – 2022 Season with an all-star line-up that includes Cecile McLorin Salvant joined by Sullivan Fortner, Chucho Valdes, Diane Reeves and Joe Lovano, Veronica Smith, the Kurt Elling Christmas concert, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, the Dave Brubeck Centennial Celebration with the Clayton Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, The Brubeck Brothers & Dianne Reeves sharing the stage, and closing out the season is Matthew Whittaker. Jazz fans can also add Spanish Harlem Orchestra's Salsa Navidad holiday concert.

On July 1, 2021 Birdland will open its doors to the public for the first time since March 2020. To mark the grand reopening, Birdland is bringing back 1949 prices as a thank you to returning patrons.

In 2021 Jazz Aspen Snowmass will expand its mid-summer JAS Academy collaboration with the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami to include the new “Combo/Small Ensemble Sessions.”
