Excitement filled  the air as the Shea's Broadway season kicked off with  Disney's FROZEN.  Adults and children clad in costumes and clutching their Olaf dolls patiently entered the theatre, all wearing  their obligatory face masks. Covid was not going to dampen anyone’s spirits. The warm Buffalo evening welcomed the slick crystalline production that is sure to charm audiences of all ages. 

The two filmed performances won behind-the-scenes awards, but the Creative Arts Emmys also honored Broadway talent throughout the night, including Debbie Allen,Sterling K. Brown, Keke Palmer, & more!

The cast for the production is Samantha Barks (Elsa), Stephanie McKeon (Anna), Obioma Ugoala (Kristoff), Craig Gallivan (Olaf), Oliver Ormson (Hans), Richard Frame (Weselton), and alternating the role of Sven, Mikayla Jade and Ashley Birchall.

The West End production of Frozen began previews on 27 August, and will officially open at the newly refurbished Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 8 September 2021.
