Mamma Mia! 'Here we go again.' There is now another production in Central New York of this hit jukebox musical based on the songs of ABBA. This time around it is a delightful production at the picturesque Cortland Repertory Theatre in Preble, New York. For a musical that is repeatedly (sometimes too much) performed throughout the country, the Cortland Rep production, directed by Kerby Thompson, is quite fresh, powerful, and exciting.

Cortland Repertory Theatre takes audiences on a trip to the Greek Islands, and back to 1970's music, with their next high-energy summer production, the hit musical "Mamma Mia"! Featuring the extremely popular music by the iconic pop group ABBA, the music and lyrics for this show are written by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, with some songs with Stig Anderson, and the book is written by Catherine Johnson. 

Cortland Repertory Theatre kicks off their 48th annual summer season at the Little York Pavilion in Preble with the heartfelt comedy The Lady with All the Answers written by David Rambo. The play is drawn from the life and letters of Ann Landers, with the cooperation of her daughter, Margo Howard.

Cortland Repertory Theatre was awarded 9 Syracuse Area Live Theatre (SALT) Awards at a ceremony held on Sunday, November 11, at the Redhouse Theatre in Syracuse.  CRT received a total of 54 nominations from five of their summer productions in 2018.  The SALT Awards are divided into three categories: Professional, Regional and Community, with CRT falling into the Regional category. Nine Academy members view hundreds of performances around the Central New York area in a year, and vote in a number of acting and technical design categories.

For the fourth show in their 47th annual summer season - and for the first time in the theatre's history - Cortland Repertory Theatre proudly presents the Pulitzer Prize winning American classic Our Town written by Thornton Wilder. Performances will run from August 1st - 11th with evening show times at 7:30 PM.  Matinees are available on August 3, 7 and 8 at 2:00 PM.  Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website at www.cortlandrep.org. CRT cautions that this is the only approved online ticket service; other online sites charge significantly higher rates for tickets and are NOT approved by CRT.

Based on the iconic movie, featuring the Grammy Award winning songs by the Bee Gees! Tony Manero is in a dead end job at a Brooklyn paint store, but he comes to life at '2001 Odyssey', the local disco where he is the king of the dance floor!

For the second production in their 47th annual season of professional summer theatre, Cortland Repertory Theatre invites audiences to dust off those leisure suits and platform shoes for the musical stage version of the iconic 1970's Paramount/SRO film Saturday Night Fever. Based on a story by Nik Cohn, the movie was adapted for the stage by Robert Stigwood in collaboration with Bill Oaks, with the North American version written by Sean Cercone and David Abbinati.  The production features the Grammy Award winning songs by the Bee Gees.

Nationally popular comedian Nick Di Paolo's 'Nick is Right' tour comes to Cortland Repertory Theater Downtown, 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland for one night only: Friday April 20th at 7:30 PM.  CRT cautions that this hilarious performance is for mature audiences only, and contains adult language.

Cortland Repertory Theatre is announcing local Youth Auditions for actors between the ages of 10 18 for the summer productions of the Disney musical Newsies (June 25 July 28, including rehearsals) and the Pulitzer prize winning play Our Town (July 16 August 11, including rehearsals). Auditions will be held on Thursday, January 25 from 4:00 7:00 PM at CRT Downtown, 24 Port Watson Street, Cortland. Cortland Repertory Theatre is announcing upcoming events for the fall months, most to be held at "CRT Downtown" located at 24 Port Watson Street in historic downtown Cortland. "This is our second year-round season, and we're planning more events than last year, with a wide variety to appeal to all tastes," Producing Artistic Director Kerby Thompson says. "Even though the summer is winding down, we've been keeping busy planning for the fall and winter months.  We're very excited about what is coming next!"

For the fourth show in their 45th anniversary summer season, Cortland Repertory Theatre presents the regional premiere of the exciting murder mystery 'Cards on the Table' adapted by Leslie Darbon from the novel by Agatha Christie.
