Cortland Rep Receives 9 SALT Awards

Cortland Repertory Theatre was awarded 9 Syracuse Area Live Theatre (SALT) Awards at a ceremony held on Sunday, November 11, at the Redhouse Theatre in Syracuse. CRT received a total of 54 nominations from five of their summer productions in 2018. The SALT Awards are divided into three categories: Professional, Regional and Community, with CRT falling into the Regional category. Nine Academy members view hundreds of performances around the Central New York area in a year, and vote in a number of acting and technical design categories.

The winners from Cortland Rep were:

Musical: Newsies, directed by Mark Reynolds.

Director of a Musical: Kerby Thompson, Saturday Night Fever

Director of a Play: Kerby Thompson, Our Town

Choreography: Matt Couvillon, Newsies

Leading Actor in a Musical: Zack Zaromatidis, Newsies

Leading Actor in a Play: Jason M. Shipman, Our Town

Leading Actress in a Musical: Katie Luke, Newsies

Supporting Actor in a Musical: Camden Garcia, Newsies

Supporting Actor in a Play: Jason M. Shipman, Rough Crossing
