Cortland Repertory Theatre Downtown, located at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland, offers an exciting and festive December of holiday shows and events.

Cortland Repertory Theatre has announced the cancellation of their final production of the 2022 summer, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's “Mary Poppins”.  The musical was to run from August 3 – 20. 

For the fourth production in their 50th Anniversary season, Cortland Repertory Theatre presents the regional premiere of a new play based on a classic novel: Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express.

When Cortland Repertory Theatre was renovating the building at 24-26 Port Watson Street in the city of Cortland to create the new performing arts space “CRT Downtown”, a marquee for the front of the building was planned as an important feature.  “With a flat-fronted building, we needed some way to show passers-by who and what we were,” says Producing Artistic Director Kerby Thompson. 

Cortland Repertory Theatre has announced their 2022 5-show summer season to be held at the Little York Pavilion in Preble, NY, as a celebration of their 50th Anniversary. The season will run from June 8 – August 20 and will contain three musicals and two plays.

Cortland Repertory Theatre has announced plans for their “49th 1/2” annual summer season in 2021. Nine live productions, including concerts, children's theatre, and a drive-thru “theatrical experience” are planned from July 8 – August 24. 

Following on the success of their summer drive-thru “Stories in the Park” in July, Cortland Repertory Theatre presents “Ghosts in the Park”, a new family-focused theatrical experience for Halloween. 

For two days only, snuggled in the beautiful Dwyer Memorial Park (the home of Cortland Repertory Theatre's Little York Pavilion) Cortland Repertory Theatre, SUNY Cortland Theatre Department, The Cortland Youth Bureau, and the Cortland Performing Arts Institute brings a delightful socially distant drive-thru theatrical experience with Stories in the Park. As you drive down the winding path in the safety and comfort of your car some favorite childhood stories come to life with elaborate costumes, energetic performers, and gorgeous scenic designs.

With the unavoidable cancellation of Cortland Repertory Theatre's 2020 Summer Season due to COVID-19, the CRT Artistic Administration and Board of Directors are creating new and exciting ways to provide entertainment and escape for their CNY audience.

Cortland Repertory Theatre Downtown at 24 Port Watson Street has postponed the remainder of their spring season and has rescheduled most events for the Fall of 2020.  The following is planned:

Cortland Repertory Theatre is now entertaining audiences at the picturesque Little York Pavilion in Preble, New York with the highly entertaining Tony-nominated jukebox musical Million Dollar Quartet. Featuring the classic tunes of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins, Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux's (book) musical is inspired by the night when Elvis Presley (Noah Jermain), Johnny Cash (Colin Barkell), Jerry Lee Lewis (Gavin Rohrer), and Carl Perkins (Todd Meredith) made history with their legendary jam and recording session on December 4, 1956 at the famous Sun Records studio in Memphis. Narrator Sam Phillips (Bobby Becher), founder of Sun Records and legendary producer, recalls that historic and magical evening when these musicians jammed out to their hits and he had a 'Million Dollar Quartet' on his hands for their only performance in the one-room studio.

Cortland Repertory Theatre closes their 48th annual summer season of professional live theatre with a BANG with the rockin' and rollin' musical Million Dollar Quartet, written by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux. Performances will run from August 28 – September 13 with evening show times at 7:30. Matinees are available on August 30, September 1, 4, 5, 8 and 11 at 2:00 PM.  Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website using ETIX at www.cortlandrep.org. CRT cautions that this is the only approved online ticket service; other online sites charge significantly higher rates for tickets and are NOT approved by CRT.

Mamma Mia! 'Here we go again.' There is now another production in Central New York of this hit jukebox musical based on the songs of ABBA. This time around it is a delightful production at the picturesque Cortland Repertory Theatre in Preble, New York. For a musical that is repeatedly (sometimes too much) performed throughout the country, the Cortland Rep production, directed by Kerby Thompson, is quite fresh, powerful, and exciting.
