Cortland Repertory Theatre Presents BUDDY, 6/19-7/6

Cortland Repertory Theatre invites audiences to 'Rave On!' with its debut production of the international musical sensation 'BUDDY - The Buddy Holly Story'. Performances of this hit rock and roll musical will run from June 19 - July 6 with evening performances at 7:30. Matinees are available on June 21, 23, 26, 28, 30 and July 2 at 2:00 PM. Tickets may be purchase by calling 800-427-6160 or by visiting the CRT Box Office's new location at 24 Port Watson Street in downtown Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website at www.cortlandrep.org. Some performances are already sold out, so CRT suggests calling early.

Cortland Rep Announces Winners of the 2012-13 Pavilion Awards

The winners for the eleventh annual Cortland Repertory Theatre 'Pavilion Awards' were announced on Monday, June 10, at the national historic Little York Pavilion, home to CRT. The awards, sponsored by First Niagara Bank, recognize outstanding achievement in local high school theatre during the 2012-13 school year.

Cortland Rep Hosts 'CRT Week' Tours, Now thru 5/24

In conjunction with the opening of the Box Office for the 2013 summer season, Cortland Repertory Theatre is also announcing 'CRT Week' from today, May 20 - Friday, May 24. During this week, the CRT Board of Directors and staff members will be offering open-house tours of the new CRT Downtown building at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm each day. The tours will be 5-10 minutes and will showcase the completed offices and lobby, as well as future Grand Hall and Theatre which is under construction.

CRT Announces Nominations for 2013 'Pavilion Awards'

Cortland Repertory Theatre has announced the nominees for their eleventh annual "Pavilion Awards" which recognize Outstanding Achievement in local high school theatre. For the seventh year, First Niagara Bank serves as the Corporate Sponsor for this program, which allows for many categories within the musical and non-musical genres. Musicals in consideration were held at the Cortland, Dryden, Groton, Homer, McGraw and Tully High Schools. Non-musical plays were also presented at Cortland, Homer and Tully. The nominees are as followings:

The fifth show in Cortland Repertory Theatre's 41st summer season comes to the Little York Pavilion by way of Canada, with the award-winning comedic drama "The Drawer Boy" written by Michael Healey. First produced in Toronto in 1999, the play has gone on to be produced throughout Canada, the United States and London, winning numerous awards including The Governor's General Award and being listed on Time Magazine's list of "Top Ten New Classics". In the early 2000's, it had the distinction of being the most produced play in U.S. regional theatres; this production will mark CRT's debut performance. Cortland Repertory Theatre is announcing that their administration and box offices have moved to the new "CRT Downtown" building at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland from their former location at 37 Franklin Street. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 6:00 PM and Saturdays from noon to 6:00 PM. The phone numbers have stayed the same: the Box Office toll free number is 800-427-6160 and the administration office line is 607-753-6161.

Cortland Repertory Theatre's 2011 production of the musical Chicago "razzle dazzled 'em" at the Syracuse Area Live Theatre (SALT) Awards, winning in two out of the three Summer Production categories.
