The Television Academy announced today that Ken Jeong and D'Arcy Carden will present the nominations for the 71st Emmy Awards from the Wolf Theatre at the Television Academy's Saban Media Center on Tuesday, July 16, at 8:30 a.m. PT/11:30 a.m. ET.

Netflix and OWN announced today that the closing night of Netflix's Emmy® FYSEE showcase, featuring a special in-depth conversation hosted by executive producer Oprah Winfrey, with Emmy®-winner Ava DuVernay and the cast of their four-part limited series, When They See Us – will be recorded to premiere on Netflix and OWN, Wednesday June 12 at 10p ET/PT (immediately following the Season Four premiere of DuVernay's critically acclaimed “Queen Sugar” at 9p on OWN). Oprah Winfrey Presents When They See Us Now, will also feature Winfrey's sit down interview with The Exonerated Five men of the Central Park Five 1989 case for the very first time. These conversations, closing out Netflix's immersive FYSEE experience, will take place at Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 9th.

TimesTalks, The New York Times live conversation and performance series, is pleased to announce HBO as presenting sponsor of the ScreenTimesseries for a second year. Over the course of the year-long sponsorship, ScreenTimes will showcase 12 high profile pre-release screenings, coinciding with key studio release dates in late spring, summer, fall, and the year-end holiday awards season. Eugenio Derbez (Overboard), Ken Jeong (Dr. Ken) and Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) have joined the cast of Nickelodeon's upcoming original animated series The Casagrandes, which tells the story of the Casagrandes, a big, loving and multi-generational family living together in the city. A companion to the Emmy Award-winning, The Loud House, the new 2D-animated series highlights the culture, humor, and love of growing up in a multi-generational Mexican-American family. The series is set to debut October 2019 on Nickelodeon.

Today SiriusXM and Netflix announced the launch of Netflix Is A Joke Radio, a full-time comedy channel to air exclusively on SiriusXM ch. 93. This is the first time the streaming company has worked in unison with another major subscription media company to create a new outlet for their content. The channel, which will feature highlights from top Netflix talent including Adam Sandler, Aziz Ansari, Bill Burr, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Ellen DeGeneres, Gabriel Iglesias, Jerry Seinfeld, John Mulaney, Ken Jeong, Ricky Gervais, Sarah Silverman, Sebastian Maniscalco, Trevor Noah, Wanda Sykes, and more, launches on April 15, 2019 on SiriusXM.

According to Deadline, Tony nominee Taylor Louderman is set to star as the female lead on the forthcoming CBS pilot titled EMPEROR OF MALIBU. She joins the previously announced Ken Jeong and Max Willems. The series comes from Kevin Kwan and Warner Bros. TV. Kwan is known for his work as author of the 2018 blockbuster CRAZY RICH ASIANS.

According to Variety, actor/comedian Ken Jeong has signed on to star on the forthcoming CBS comedy THE EMPEROR OF MALIBU. The new comedy comes from Kevin Kwan, who is known for writing the acclaimed CRAZY RICH ASIANS. Jeong will play the lead role of the character named Gerry.

FOX is renewing the new celebrity competition series THE MASKED SINGER, this season's #1 new series and #1 unscripted show, which captivated a massive audience of more than 17 million multi-platform viewers for its debut episode. Based on an international hit, THE MASKED SINGER features celebrities facing off against one another with one major twist: each singer is shrouded from head to toe in an elaborate costume, complete with full face mask to conceal his or her identity.
