Madison Opera Opens 2025–26 Season with Puccini’s LA BOHÈME

Madison Opera launches its 2025–26 season with Puccini’s timeless masterpiece La Bohème, performed November 7 and 9 at Overture Hall. The beloved opera follows the passionate and heartbreaking lives of young artists in Paris, featuring a dynamic new cast and direction by Alison Pogorelc, conducted by John DeMain.

Madison Opera To Present DON GIOVANNI

Madison Opera concludes its 2024/25 mainstage season with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Don Giovanni, the company's first production of this classic work in twelve years. 

Verb Theatre to Present EVERY BRILLIANT THING in April

From April 10 - 19, 2025, Every Brilliant Thing will be running at Pumphouse Theatre, presented by Verb Theatre and starring Karen Johnson-Diamond. The play was originally performed at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Miriam Miller Promoted To Principal Dancer At New York City Ballet

New York City Ballet has announced that Miriam Miller has been promoted to Principal Dancer. The promotion was made on Thursday, January 30 by NYCB Artistic Director Jonathan Stafford and Associate Artistic Director Wendy Whelan, following a performance of George Balanchine's Variations Pour une Porte et un Soupir, in which Miller performed the leading female role.

Madison Opera Presents MARÍA DE BUENOS AIRES

Madison Opera livens up winter with its first production of María de Buenos Aires, a tango opera by the  legendary Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla. A dark, surreal story told through song, poetry, and dance, María de  Buenos Aires will have performances on January 31 at 7:30pm and February 2 at 2:30pm in the Capitol Theater.  

THE BARBER OF SEVILLE to be Presented at Madison Opera
