IndieWorks Theatre Company and Judith Manocherian will present two private staged reading presentations of the new family musical, The Bee-Man.

CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE will present “Simply Barbra” written and performed by Steven Brinberg, to celebrate Barbra Streisand’s landmark 80th Birthday on Monday, July 18 at 7:00 PM.

On Saturday, the team that brought you the award-winning streaming series, “Doris Dear's Gurl Talk”, was presented with the Silver Communicator Award at Gallaghers Steakhouse in the heart of the Theater District in New York City.

The Off-Broadway production of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn, with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies, directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen, and starring the original cast,  officially opened on Monday, May 16 at Theater 555 (555 West 42nd Street - between 10th and 11th Avenues).

 KT Sullivan, Artistic Director of the Mabel Mercer Foundation hosted the finals of The 5th Adela & Larry Elow American Songbook High School Competition yesterday in the Laurie Beechman Theater at The West Bank Cafe. The competition prize money was endowed by Board Members Adela and Larry Elow to encourage teenagers to learn and perform The Great American Songbook, which was composed between the years 1900-1970.

We Will Not Be Silent, a benefit concert to honor and support those courageously resisting oppression today, featuring songs from White Rose: The Musical, with book & lyrics by Brian Belding and music by Natalie Brice, will be presented at The Green Room 42 (570 10th Avenue) on Thursday, May 19 at 7pm.

The American Popular Song Society will honor Lee Roy Reams in a star-studded benefit concert celebrating the art and legacy of the American popular song, at The Cutting Room, 44 East 32nd Street, on Sunday June 12, at 5pm.

Musical theater composer Scott Evan Davis will have a Triad Takeover on May 21st with original songs and a few musical friends.
