The 2017 awards honor productions which opened between October 1, 2016 and September 30, 2017. Nominations were completely reader-submitted and after the nomination period ended October 31, BroadwayWorld's local editors proofed the list for eligibility and errors.

Joyce DeWitt (Three's Company), Anita Gillette (A Parallelogram), and Julia Murney (Wicked), have joined Feinstein's/54 Below's star-studded Woman of the Year: In Concert on Wednesday, November 29th, 2017, at 7:00pm and 9:30pm. A portion of the proceeds will be going to The Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative.

The theatre and music world lost a great friend and mentor with the passing of Michael Larsen, who was instrumental in shaping the careers of many stars of theatre, film and television. Larsen died suddenly on Thursday, October 26, 2017, after suffering with a heart condition for many years. He was 57.

What comes to mind when you hear the words blood, brains, ghosts and mummies? Halloween might be a popular presumption, but it shouldn't be the only one with Broadway Records latest album Monstersongs now released. This new album, which also serves as a graphic novel, tells the inner-workings of some of the thoughts and sentiments of a various paradigm of monsters. Think of it as a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the lives of some misunderstood monsters. Helmed by The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical composer, Rob Rokicki, the compilation of songs is best served with the Monstersongs: The Digital Graphic Novel. Illustrated by the artistically versed David O'Neill, the novel gives you the chance to pair the music with the exemplified art for a synergistic intake experience. David O'Neill's illustrations and Rokicki's compositions make for an immersive storytelling experience.

The Green Elixir Mixer was a one night only concert featuring some of the most iconic actresses to have ever played the roles of Glinda and Elphaba in Wicked.
