The Hold Steady have released a new song, 'You Did Good Kid,' the second new one from Thrashing Thru The Passion, and can be downloaded with album pre-orders. Thrashing Thru The Passion is the band's seventh studio album and is out August 16 on Frenchkiss Records. Fans can receive access to exclusive album bundles, including such extras as a poster, lithograph and enamel pin set. All album pre-orders will come with a free download of 'You Did Good Kid' as well as the first song 'Denver Haircut.' Both songs are available now at all DSPs.

The Hold Steady are releasing their first new song of 2019 -- 'The Last Time She Talked To Me' arrives at all DSPs and streaming services via Frenchkiss Records on Friday, March 8. Craig Finn has announced live dates surrounding his soon-to-be-released solo album, I Need A New War. The shows - which see Finn backed by his touring band, The Uptown Controllers - begin June 6 at SPACE in Evanston, IL, and continue through the month. Elvis Perkins has announced the release of a new single, 'There Go The Nightmericans,' performed with Sam Cohen (who also produced) and Josh Kaufman. The track is backed by 'Clockwork,' originally released by Sam Cohen as part of Dave Eggers' '30 Songs, 30 Days' playlist of songs written and recorded by musicians for a Trump-free America during the month leading up to the 2016 presidential election.
