The Hold Steady Share New Song, New Album Out 8/16

The Hold Steady have released a new song, 'You Did Good Kid,' the second new one from Thrashing Thru The Passion, and can be downloaded with album pre-orders. Thrashing Thru The Passion is the band's seventh studio album and is out August 16 on Frenchkiss Records. Fans can receive access to exclusive album bundles, including such extras as a poster, lithograph and enamel pin set. All album pre-orders will come with a free download of 'You Did Good Kid' as well as the first song 'Denver Haircut.' Both songs are available now at all DSPs.

The Hold Steady are releasing their new album, Thrashing Thru The Passion, via Frenchkiss Records on Friday, August 16. The Hold Steady's seventh studio album is available now for pre-order. Partisan Records announces the release of Craig Finn's new song, 'Something To Hope For,' from his eagerly awaited new album I Need A New War arriving Friday, April 26. The third album in a trilogy (following 2015's Faith in the Future and 2017's We All Want The Same Things), I Need A New War once again sees Finn expertly chronicling our complex, often confusing, modern era. He draws deeply felt character studies about regular people trying to respond to extraordinary times, attempting to find connection whilst wondering how to keep pace with a world moving faster than they are. The LP further finds Finn focusing his lens on New York City - his home for the last 18 years.

The Hold Steady are releasing their first new song of 2019 -- 'The Last Time She Talked To Me' arrives at all DSPs and streaming services via Frenchkiss Records on Friday, March 8. The song is now available exclusively at The Hold Steady's Bandcamp page HERE. Fans can download the single by donating to The K + L Guardian Foundation, a fund set up to benefit the children of Unified Scene founder 'jersey' Mike Van Jura, who died in November 2012.

Craig Finn Announces US Tour Dates

Craig Finn has announced live dates surrounding his soon-to-be-released solo album, I Need A New War. The shows - which see Finn backed by his touring band, The Uptown Controllers - begin June 6 at SPACE in Evanston, IL, and continue through the month. Fan pre-sales begin Wednesday, February 20 and all remaining tickets will be released to the general public on Friday, February 22. Additional dates will be announced.
