Loft Ensemble in North Hollywood is set to present the fifth production of its ninth anniversary season, The Concrete Jungle (A Chicano Horror Play) by Travyz Santos Gatz. Directed by Mitch Rosander & Ignacio Navarro, the cast of this world premiere will feature (in alphabetical order) Lemon Baardsen, Macedonia Bullington, Berenice Diaz, Kathleen Guevara, Sydney Jenkins, Jordan Klomp, Matt Lorenzo, and Alejandro Mungaray. There will be eight performances only, beginning Friday, April 8, and running through Saturday, April 23.

On May 1st, Master Teacher Richard Lawson will be joined by casting director Kimberly Hardin. Twenty actors will be given the opportunity to have their self-tape auditions assessed and redirected by Mr. Lawson and Ms. Hardin. Classes take place Saturday mornings at 10 AM PST via Zoom.

Part of Walt Disney Television's ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for undiscovered talent, the showcase features selected participants performing in a one-night showcase for casting directors, talent agents, managers and other industry professionals. In addition, the selected showcase actors are awarded a one-year mentorship with executives from the ABC Casting Department. As part of the mentorship, the showcase actors will be offered on-camera workshops specifically for them to further hone their craft and auditioning skills. Talent will also have access to various ABC executives.

CBS announced today that it has renewed six more drama series and two news programs for the 2019-2020 broadcast season. SEAL TEAM, S.W.A.T., MADAM SECRETARY, BULL, HAWAII FIVE-0 and MACGYVER will return to the CBS lineup next season, along with longstanding primetime news shows 60 MINUTES and 48 HOURS. With these pickups, CBS has now renewed 18 series for next year.
