Florida Repertory Theatre's Education Department presents a?oeMatilda,a?? inspired by the classic novel by Roald Dahl with a book by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin. The Tony-winning musical sensation runs October 10-13 and 17-19 in the Historic Arcade Theatre. Conservatory tickets are $25/$30 for adults and $10 for students.

Jones the Musicala?? and a?oeThe Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.a?? Held in the Historic Arcade Theatre, the performances kick off the Florida Rep's Touring Theatre program with a day of family-friendly theatre with performances on September 28 at 1 PM, and 6 PM and the tickets are only $10 for students and $15 for adults.

Lifeline Theatre's KidSeries presents Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, based on the children's book by Bernard Waber, with adaptation by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Christina Calvit, music and lyrics by George Howe, and directed by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Amanda Link. While the Primm family is busily moving into their new home on East 88th Street, they are shocked to discover a crocodile in their bathtub! His name is Lyle, he performs tricks, and, oh, he only eats Turkish caviar. The Primm's are quick to welcome Lyle into the family, but not everyone is so thrilled about a crocodile living on the block. Discover the meaning of family in this musical based off the beloved classic by Bernard Waber. This production is recommended for children ages five and up and runs approximately one hour with no intermission.

Florida Repertory Theatre Education's production of SPRING AWAKENING brings topics that are often considered a?oetabooa?? for youth to life on stage, showcasing the dangers of a lack of education, discussion, and sympathy. This production of SPRING AWAKENING is especially important because not only does it allow the audience to view and discuss these topics, but the cast of the show is also comprised of mostly teenagers, and I think this fact makes it even more meaningful because a lot of the things happening in the show are things people their age actually deal with.
