EVERY BRILLIANT THING, playing at Cygnet Theatre through September 16th, has a premise that seems incongruous at first. This is an amazing, and emotional, immersive storytelling experience that explores such topics as depression and attempted suicide, but leaves the audience with a feeling of hope and sentimentality. Are things that diametrically opposed able to achieve such a result?

Cygnet Theatre is pleased to present a different kind of theatrical event with the West Coast premiere of Every Brilliant Thing. This immersive storytelling experience tackles the heavy issues of depression and suicide by blending comedy, improv, and audience interaction. Written by Duncan Macmillan in collaboration with comedian Jonny Donahoe and directed by Rob Lutfy, the production runs August 22 through September 16. Opening Night for media is August 25.

Chester Theatre Company (CTC) has received two Berkshire Theatre Awards for work seen on the stage of Chester's Town Hall Theatre this past summer. Actor Joel Ripka was cited for Outstanding Solo Performance Piece for Every Brilliant Thing (written by Duncan Macmillian with Jonny Donahoe, and directed by CTC Producing Artistic Director Daniel Elihu Kramer.) Every Brilliant Thing was also named the year's Outstanding New Play or Musical.
