Disney has released an inside look video of the live action The Little Mermaid. The new featurette features interviews with stars Halle Bailey and Melissa McCarthy, plus songwriters Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken, and director Rob Marshall. The video also features new footage from the upcoming film, including 'Poor Unfortunate Souls' and more.

Oscar-nominated Melissa McCarthy will receive this year’s CinemaCon® Cinema Vérité Award, Mitch Neuhauser, Managing Director of CinemaCon. McCarthy can be seen next month in The Little Mermaid, from visionary filmmaker Rob Marshall. The live-action reimagining of the studio’s Oscar®-winning animated musical classic features McCarthy as Ursula.

Alan Menken has revealed more information on the new songs that he and Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote for the upcoming Little Mermaid film. Menken confirmed that there were four new songs written for Prince Eric, Sebastian, Scuttle, and King Triton.

With over 12m copies of the novel sold globally, Sky and Peacock revealed that Jonah Hauer-King (The Little Mermaid, World on Fire) and Anna Próchniak (Baptiste, Warsaw 44) are set to take up the lead roles of Lale Sokolov and Gita Furman, in the Sky and Peacock Original adaptation and Synchronicity Films production.

The Little Mermaid soundtrack is now available for pre-order and pre-save ahead of its digital release on May. Featuring all-new performances by the cast, the soundtrack is set to feature four new original songs that the original film's composer Alan Menken co-wrote with Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Halle Bailey has shared a new poster for the upcoming live action film adaptation of The Little Mermaid, revealing that a new official trailer for the film will debut during The Oscars. Bailey and Melissa McCarthy, who plays Ursula in the film, are also scheduled to present during the awards ceremony.

Halle Bailey took to Instagram to share a first look at the new Little Mermaid Ariel doll, styled after her in the upcoming live action film. It has been revealed that the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid is set to be released on May 26, 2023.  The cast of the live action 'Little Mermaid' includes Halle Bailey, Daveed Diggs, Javier Bardem, Jacob Tremblay, Melissa McCarthy, Awkwafina, and Jonah Hauer-King.

Bailey announced that filming has wrapped on her Instagram account. The film doesn't yet have a set release date.

The London Climate Change Festival will present SONG FOR NATURE, a specially created concert to raise awareness of Climate Change. SONG FOR NATURE  was filmed over three days on stage at the London Coliseum, and all around this iconic building.
