Fraggle Rock is coming home! The first season of Apple TV+'s reboot of Jim Henson's classic series Fraggle Rock will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on November 19. The 3 disc set includes all season one episodes, along with some new special features.

Cabaret artist Sarah Boone will return to the Triad Theater with an encore performance of Mom Before Dad: A Young Woman of the Greatest Generation following celebrated performances in Florida, Los Angeles and Colorado.

The Muny’s production of Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID is a visually stunning explosion of color. Director John Tartaglia, his actors and technical teams collaborate to tell a memorable story that feels more animated movie than live musical theater. It is Tartaglia’s vision and leadership, the enthusiasm and vocal performance of his talented cast, and the vibrant effervescence of the set, costumes/wigs, choreography, puppets, lighting, video projections, sound, and music that make this an exuberant production.  

“There are so many things that excite me about this production of THE LITTLE MERMAID, but the most exciting thing is the number of kids and teenagers who are in the show,” she said. Jackson called the young performers the future of musical theater. She took that from the choreographer Patrick O’Neill who says, “the future of musical theater is in good hands.”   Jackson spoke warmly about the people here. She finds it incredible the way St. Louisans value theatre. “Performing outside in this beautiful park for the people of this community is,” she paused, took a deep breath, let out a long sigh, and said, “just so special.”

Every summer, Broadway’s John Tartaglia returns to St. Louis to make Muny magic. Last season he thrilled audiences with an epic production of Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST that Broadway World called remarkable, enchanted, and extravagant. This season Tartaglia will direct his eighth show at The Muny, Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID.  

 The Muny has announced its full cast, design and production teams for Disney's The Little Mermaid, the third show in the theatre's 106th season, which runs July 8-16 on the James S. McDonnell Stage in Forest Park.

The world premiere musical LAST OF THE RED HOT MAMAS debuts at Bucks County Playhouse on July 28, 2024.

The 2024 summer theatre season is already in full swing in St. Louis, Missouri, with three exceptional comedy-dramas opening last week. St. Louis stages opened their 2024 season with STEEL MAGNOLIAS starring a mostly local cast. Broadway World called the Stages St. Louis production “wonderfully funny – creating contagious uncontrollable laughter.”  Albion Theatre opened a terrific production of Alan Ayckbourn’s WOMAN IN MIND with a tour-de-force performance from Emily Baker in the lead role. Baker is on stage the entire production. Stray Dog Theatre had audiences laughing out loud with their production of David Lindsay-Abaire's RIPCORD. All three productions run through the end of June. The most anticipated productions of the remaining summer season include shows at The Muny, Stages St. Louis, and The New Jewish Theatre.
