For many, Burt Bacharach is a household name, the soundtrack that spans from childhood to adulthood. For some, Bacharach’s name might not ring a bell, but his wide discography of songs that spans decades, mediums, collaborators, and genres is sure to have even the most musically naive audience members dancing in their seats to some familiar favorites.
GOING BACHARACH: THE SONGS OF AN ICON will run at Chicago’s Apollo Theater with the original New York cast. The musical revue celebrates the work of Burt Bacharach with songs including “Alfie” and “What the World Needs Now.”

Cold Basement Dramatics announces the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of Heat Wave, part of Garage Rep 2015 at the Steppenwolf Garage. Written by Steven Simoncic and directed by Rinska Carrasco-Prestinary, the production will run February 20 - April 25, 2015 and marks the 20th anniversary of the Chicago heat wave of 1995.
