Citadel Theatre Company's ANNIE Is Extended To January 5th

Citadel Theatre Company has extended the run of its 2019 holiday season production of ANNIE by two weeks, to Sunday, January 5th, giving audiences the chance to enjoy this ever-popular family favorite throughout the holiday season. The additional performances will be Saturday, December 28 at 8 pm; Sunday, December 29 at 3 pm; Thursday, January 2 at 7:30 pm; Friday, January 3 and Saturday, January 4 at 8 pm; and Sunday, January 5 at 3 pm.

Pittsburgh Public Theater continues its 45th anniversary season with the Pittsburgh premiere of School Girls; Or The African Mean Girls Play. Segerstrom Center for the Arts Announces Casting for American Ballet Theatre's Production of THE NUTCRACKER

Segerstrom Center for the Arts has announced casting of 46 young dancers in American Ballet Theatre's production of The Nutcracker performed December 13 through 22 in Segerstrom Hall. Forty-two students from the American Ballet Theatre William J. Gillespie School at Segerstrom Center, plus four additional talented young dancers from Orange County, will perform alongside the world renowned ABT company, in this classic holiday show. The opportunity to perform in this production and others in the Center's International Dance Series is one of the very special benefits of studying in the ABT Gillespie School.

The Drama League Announces Lineup And Creative Team For DirectorFest 2020

The Drama League announced today the 2020 line-up of DirectorFest: The 36th Annual Directors Festival, the only festival in the United States dedicated to the art of contemporary stage directing. For its 36th year, the festival will include six fully-staged productions, a showcase concert of a new musical, a town hall, and conversations with directors including 2017 Tony Award Winner Rebecca Taichman (Indecent), 2014 Tony Award Winner and 2010 Drama League Founders Award for Excellence in Directing Kenny Leon (A Soldier's Play), and Intimacy Director Claire Warden (HBO's Mrs. Fletcher).

Virginia Repertory Theatre to Present Rodgers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of Rodgers and Hammmerstein's Cinderella on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the November Theatre/Arenstein Stage, 114 West Broad Street. The show will run through Sunday, January 5, 2020. One Preview performance will be on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.

JARGIE THE SCIENCE GIRL Will Tour Children's Theaters

When 27-year old Jocelyn Argueta was working her way through college, studying Biochemistry at the University of California, Irvine, she filled her little free time working and performing with Phantom Projects Theatre Group in La Mirada. As an older teen, she starred in shows confronting teen-oriented life topics such as bullying and racism. As a young adult she joined their tour of Charlotte's Web, where she portrayed colorful farmyard animals such as geese and pigs, all the while spending countless hours in the on-campus labs of UCI. Upon graduating with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Jocelyn's early career was founded in scientific research. She contributed with published work in the field of Neuroscience and as an inventor in allergy diagnostics.
