Unique and much lauded classic soulful blues-rock band Xander and the Peace Pirates announce their hotly anticipated new album Order Out Of Chaos for release May 6th, 2022. This is preceded by their explosive single “Leave The Light On” released today, with an amazing video giving a tantalizing taster for the main course of songs to be unleashed on their upcoming album.

The month of March has a variety of events to offer in venues across Seattle Center’s campus with something for everyone to do. There is no shortage of fun activities taking place at Seattle Center this March, and you don’t want to miss out. 

Restored by Bob Ludwig, the album will be reissued in multiple formats, including 1-CD and – on 180g heavyweight black vinyl – 1-LP versions. The 2CD Deluxe set adds Another Disc (mastered by Adam Ayan), while a 2-CD + 1-LP Collector’s Edition includes both CDs and a sky-blue vinyl LP in a 12” lift lid box, with a 32-page booklet and enamel badge.

The real star of the evening was the musical arrangements that Huffman and McSweeney created themselves. They reimagined some wonderful classics by artists as diverse as Ann Margaret, Nat King Cole, Jimi Hendrix, The Pointer Sisters, Cole Porter, Joni Mitchell, and Peggy Lee, utilizing only bass and voice with a little sprinkling of piano, violin, and Ms. Huffman’s “Low G” ukulele. The sparseness of the ensemble was a huge asset, focusing attention on the lyrics and the performances themselves. And the performances were lovely. Ms. Huffman is a gifted and versatile actress and Ms. McSweeney is a truly soulful jazzwoman.

Guest choreographer Karen Luu, SF State Dance alumna and artistic director of LUU Dance Collective, creates new work, with music by Kendrick Lamar, tackling burdens the U.S. government has bestowed upon the youth, specifically black lives.

The original drum kit used in the Quarry Men, the pre-Beatles group formed by John Lennon and Madonna’s iconic “Material Girl” pink gown ensemble, will headline a lineup featuring over 1,000 spectacular collectibles and memorabilia owned and used by some of the world’s most influential and music artists of our time will be offered.

Fifty years since its release, the original motion picture soundtrack for Hal Ashby’s 1971 classic cult film “Harold and Maude,” made up exclusively of songs by Cat Stevens, is now available in new 180g 1LP / 1CD / Digital release formats. The historic Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville, Tenn. will induct country legend Bobby Bare.
