Quarto Valley Records has announced the upcoming release of Blues All Around, the new album from legendary British Blues Rock band Savoy Brown on February 17th. Shortly after the new album was completed, Savoy Brown founder, guitarist/ singer/ songwriter Kim Simmonds lost his hard-fought battle with cancer on December 13th, just a week after turning 75.

Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center is bringing an acclaimed play to the stage in West Chester this February. The Mountaintop was written by then 28-year old, Black female playwright, Katori Hall, and opened in a small pub in south London. A producer saw the show and supported it in a production in the West End where it went on to take the UK theatre award season by storm winning the Laurence Olivier Award for “Best New Play.”

When Eric Clapton's 'Heaven Band' toured from the mid 1980s to early '90s, bass player Nathan East said the quartet came up with the name “because it was it was some of the most fun we ever had.” Almost four decades later, another quartet of stellar musicians with familial ties to the original group have formed The Cream Of Clapton Band and will hit the road with that same fun-loving spirit to perform The Very Best of Eric Clapton in March 2023.

Rising singer-songwriter Eli Smart has released his new EP, Aloha Soul. Hailing from the Hawaiian island of Kauai, he was raised by a family of musicians and grew up on a diet of soul legends such as Gladys Knight, Jimi Hendrix, Prince and The Beatles. Smart moved to Liverpool in his late teens and has since made The UK his second home.

CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE will present The Skivvies to ring in the holidays with their album release shows “Sleigh My Name,” for two performances, Saturday December 17 and Sunday, December 18, both at 7:00 PM.

The tenth edition of the 21C Music Festival will include 11 concerts and 1 film, and span over two months – starting in December 2022 and continuing into January 2023. 21C Music Festival commences with A Thousand Thoughts, a live documentary with the Kronos Quartet, written and directed by Sam Green and Joe Bini on December 6 in Koerner Hall.

From November 1 through 13, Birdland Jazz Club will present a variety of programming including Django Reinhardt NY Festival, Nicole Zuraitis, Alexis Cole, Peter Cincotti and The Purchase Latin Jazz Orchestra Directed by David DeJesus. 

Busy Body, the sophomore album from steadfast New York-based composer and trombonist Sam Blakeslee and his synergetic ensemble Wistful Thinking, is out now.
