Students from 22 Vermont high schools, representing 10 counties, travel to the Barre Opera House on Thursday, March 9 to recite poems on stage in the Vermont Poetry Out Loud 2023 Semifinals.

From June 7-11, 2023, Vermont celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Burlington Jazz Festival, produced by the Flynn and presented New England Federal Credit Union. The Flynn is thrilled to welcome incredible alto saxophonist, bandleader, and educator Lakecia Benjamin as this year's festival curator.

The Flynn has announced Hot Butter, a celebratory disco night extravaganza in Flynn Space on Saturday, February 11. Doors open at 8 pm. To mark Valentine's Day this year, Flynn Space transforms into the hottest LGBTQIA+ night club in Burlington.

The Flynn will host Collaborating Public Safety, a timely community event that features an in-depth discussion about urgent public safety issues and the role of policing. This event is held on the Main Stage on February 23 at 7 pm.

The Black Experience 2023 (BX23) returns to the Flynn Main Stage on February 25 with a lineup of events scheduled all evening, starting at 5 pm. BX23, Burlington's flagship Black History Month event, serves as a platform to elevate and celebrate Vermont's thriving Black communities. The main programming focuses on three pillars: culture, community, and education. BX23 includes performances, presentations, and fireside conversations.

The Flynn has announced a show by Emmy-winning comedian and TV host Samantha Bee on the Main Stage this spring. Bee brings her Your Favorite Woman tour, her first national tour which features her signature brand of comedy in a multimedia stand-up format, to Burlington on Friday, May 19 at 8 pm.

On October 7, the Flynn will unveil Clark Russell's Riddleville as the latest exhibition in the Amy E. Tarrant Gallery.

The Flynn, a member-supported nonprofit that engages, entertains, and enriches Vermont through the performing arts, announced it has hired Matt Rogers and Kevin Sweeney to be its directors of programming and marketing, respectively.

The Flynn, in association with Vermont Humanities, will present Jason Reynolds on the Flynn Main Stage on October 4 at 10:30 am.

The Flynn has announced its 2022-2023 Broadway season, featuring some of the most spectacular shows in Broadway history. It is also the biggest Broadway season the Flynn has presented, with blockbuster shows that appeal to a variety of audiences of all ages.

The 2022 Burlington Discover Jazz Festival—produced by the Flynn in association with Burlington City Arts, and presented by New England Federal Credit Union—takes place June 3-12, with events all over Downtown Burlington and beyond. The Flynn will welcome Michael Mwenso, leader of the captivating band Mwenso & The Shakes and co-founder of Electric Root, and his creative partner Jono Gasparro as the curators for this year's festival.
