Next month, 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

AT THIS PERFORMANCE… returns to The Green Room 42 featuring Standbys, Understudies, and Alternates from Hell's Kitchen, Suffs, The Wiz, Water For Elephants, Cats: “the Jellicle Ball”, Back To The Future, and The Heart Of Rock And Roll.

Performers included: Christina A Jones ('Day Dreaming'), Keenan D Washington ('It's Hard to Speak My Heart'), Jay Copeland ('Heal'), Matthew Sims Jr. ('Independently Owned'), Polanco Jones Jr. (original song), Anthony Murphy ('Fifty Percent'), and Amber Jackson (original song), with young singers Devin DeAngelis ('Purpose'), Spencer Orton ('Do You Remember?') and Anya Fox ('Kiny of Anything').

Ben Cameron's Broadway Sessions at The Green Room 42 on May 23 will feature cast members from the hit Broadway revival of THE WIZ.

As part of TODAY's 'Best of Broadway Week,' the cast of The Wiz stopped by the show on Friday to perform the song 'He's the Wiz' from the new production of the classic musical. Before the performance, Deborah Cox, who is playing Glinda and also serving as a producer, discussed the show. Watch the interview and performance now!

Alan Mingo Jr. will return to the title role of ‘The Wiz’ on Broadway beginning Thursday, June 13, 2024. Five-time Emmy winner and Grammy Award nominee Wayne Brady will play his final performance in the role of ‘The Wiz’ on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

On Friday, The Today Show visited The Wiz on Broadway for a special behind-the-scenes look at the revival of the classic musical. In the interview, Wayne Brady, who plays The Wiz, talked about the formative experience of watching the 1978 film with Michael Jackson and Diana Ross. Nichelle Lewis is making her Broadway debut in the production and recalls the creative team finding her through TikTok. Watch the full interview now!

The talk of the town last night was The Wiz, which officially opened at the Marquis Theatre following months touring the country. The cast and creative team walked the red yellow carpet before the curtain went up and BroadwayWorld was there for the festivities.
