Tony Award-winning Broadway producer Hugh Hysell, an alumnus of UNC Greensboro ('88 BFA Theatre), is returning to his alma mater to teach the business of show.

Under the direction of Artistic Director, Jeff Whiting, Open Jar has announced the launch of their PRO SERIES Of Masterclasses For Professional Actors. These courses and masterclasses will provide unique opportunities for professional performers to continue to hone their skills and work one-on-one with Broadway's best professionals: Directors, Composers, Talent Agents, and Casting Directors.

The 23rd annual Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) will present the largest celebration of Irish Cinema in North America during its eight-day run (Oct. 13-20, 2022) in Southern California. Highlights include an Irish Showcase event, red carpet premieres, 10 Irish feature-length films, the U.S. premiere of Ireland's foreign Oscar submission, 13 Irish short films and the participation of Irish filmmakers and dignitaries.

The Little Foxes - L.A. Theatre Works opens its 2018-19 season at UCLA's James Bridges Theater with Lillian Hellman's modern classic about a wealthy Southern family and the greed that tears them apart. Mamie Gummer (HBO's True Detective, CW's Emily Owens, M.D) stars as Regina Giddens, whose dying husband (Jared Harris, of The Crown and Mad Men) is determined to leave her nothing, while her brothers Ben (Tim DeKay of HBO's Here and Now, ABC's American Crime, USA's White Collar) and Oscar (Jamie Harris of Turn: Washington's Spies on AMC, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) have inherited all their father's wealth. It will take every ounce of her ruthless charm to outwit her relations and assure herself a gilded future. Also starring Molly C. Quinn (Castle) as Regina's daughter, Alexandra; Heidi Dippold; Larry Powell; Albie Selznick; and Karen Malina White.

Broadway Dreams has partnered once again with the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center on the return of their annual Summer Intensive, now in session through August 4, 2018. Lead by an all-star roster of Broadway's brightest stars and industry professionals, Charlotte's rising stars are participating in a week-long intensive focusing on acting, vocal performance and dance. The week culminates in two public performances of a dynamic Broadway-style cabaret, allowing students to perform alongside their Broadway idols.
