The text of Jack Thorne's two-part drama topped Amazon's Best-Seller List while pre-ordering.

Following rave reviews earlier this week Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions, producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,  announced that a further 250,000 tickets will be released for sale next week on Thursday 4 August 2016 at 11am BST, booking through to 10 December 2017.  Tickets are priced from £15 per part and for every performance there will be 300 tickets at £20 or less per part.

Polish your broom, stock up on floo powder, get in line for the portkey (or if you're old enough, just apparate) -- to New York! The Daily Mail is echoing rumors from earlier this week at the New York Post about a certain, very magical, Broadway transfer.

ABC's GOOD MORNING AMERICA goes behind the scenes of the new play HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD

HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD has its official opening this week, with a special gala performance on Saturday 30 July. The eighth story in the Harry Potter series, and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage, is one play presented in two parts. Both parts are intended to be seen in order on the same day (matinee and evening) or on two consecutive evenings.

The premiere stage adaptation based on JK Rowling's characters may come to Broadway as early as next season.

HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD does not open at London's Palace Theatre until July 30, and already there is buzz about a future transfer to Broadway. The New York Post's Michael Riedel writes: 'Word is that Friedman and Callender are in negotiations for a Shubert theater possibly for next season. They may hit Toronto first, however.'

In a new behind-the-scenes video shared by the London production of HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD, actor Anthony Boyle defends his character Draco Malfoy, considered to be one of the villains in the Harry Potter saga.  

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD is currently in previews in London's West End at the Palace Theatre, where it will open on July 30. Jamie Parker, Noma Dumezweni and Paul Thornily lead the cast as Harry, Hermione and Ron, as part of a company of 42 talented actors. HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD is currently in previews in the West End, with the Official Opening performances of Part One and Part Two set for Saturday 30 July 2016. Set designer Christine Jones is featured in a new behind-the-scenes video, which showcases the craftsmanship at the heart of the production, including Hogwarts' famous moving staircase. The Off-Broadway premiere of Elda Cusick's new play, Austin, will begin a limited engagement on Saturday July 23rd at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues). Ed Setrakian directs a cast that stars Thomas G. Waites ('OZ'), James McCaffrey ('Rescue Me'), Rochelle Bostrom, AJ Cedeño, and Michaela Waites. Opening Night is set for August 4th. Austin will play a limited run through September 10th only.

Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF), the Atlanta-founded non-profit performing arts training program, is currently celebrating its 10th Anniversary with exciting new programming and expanded international destinations, including Russia and Brazil. The 2016 Summer Tour, GENERAT10N, will visit cities across the U.S. and Canada with a special stop in its home city, June 13 - 18, 2016.

The cloaking spell has been lifted! HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD has found its full West End company.

In the final set of Charlie Gray's Harry Potter and the Cursed Child portraits are Alex Price who will play Draco Malfoy and Anthony Boyle who will play Scorpius Malfoy.  Previews for Part One of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will begin on 7 June with previews of Part Two starting 9 June 2016.  The Official Opening performances of Part One and Part Two will take place on Saturday 30 July 2016. In the second set of Charlie Gray's Harry Potter and the Cursed Child portraits, joining the previously announced Paul Thornley as Ron Weasley and Noma Dumezweni as Hermione Granger is Cherrelle Skeete who will play Rose Granger-Weasley. Previews for Part One of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will begin on 7 June with previews of Part Two starting 9 June 2016.
