One of music's most revered storytellers, Dolly Parton, has released the latest single, 'Blue Bonnet Breeze,' from her upcoming album, Run, Rose, Run, alongside the track's whimsical lyric video. The album serves as a companion to the original novel, Run, Rose, Run, co-authored by James Patterson and Parton, which is set for release on March 7th.
Changing Channels, by John Reeger, is a story of 1950's television, the Red Scare, and the costs of standing your ground. Peter Bisgaier and Kate Fahrer star as Eddie Gilroy and Maggie Carlin, stars of 'For Pete's Sake' (the play's equivalent of The Honeymooners). When their show gets transferred to the CBS network, everyone involved is destined for fame and fortune, with one small hitch. Maggie is accused (inaccurately) of being a Communist sympathizer during the height of McCarthyism.
The Audio Publishers Association (APA) have announced finalists for the 2022 Audie Awards. Finalists include Cynthia Erivo for Best Female Narrator and Lin-Manuel Miranda for Best Male Narrator. Comedy actress Maggie Carlin has her integrity questioned during Cold War turmoil when actors are being blacklisted for their political beliefs.
The album, out on Butterfly Records in partnership with Ingrooves/UMG, is the companion project to an original novel, Run, Rose, Run, co-authored by James Patterson and Parton.
