Variety reports that director James Gunn has posted all 24 names of cast members for his upcoming film, “The Suicide Squad”-- a sequel to the 2016 DC comic book movie.

Variety reports that Peter Capaldi has officially joined 'The Suicide Squad,' a DC sequel from 'Guardians of the Galaxy' director James Gunn. 'Saturday Night Live''s Pete Davidson is also reportedly in talks to join the cast. 

Variety reports that director and actor Taika Waititi is in talks to join the sequel to 'Suicide Squad.'  James Gunn directs.

According to Deadline, Nathan Fillion will appear in the upcoming film, The Suicide Squad. His role has yet to be revealed.

It was announced today that the new musical Swept Away, featuring the music of The Avett Brothers, will have its world premiere at Berkeley Rep as part of their 2019-20 season, beginning performances in June 2020. Swept Away is produced by Berkeley Rep by special arrangement with Matthew Masten and Sean Hudock.

According to Deadline, Will Smith is confirmed to not be returning for Warner Bros. SUICIDE SQUAD 2. He portrayed the role of Deadshoot in the first installment. The sequel is set to be directed by James Gunn, and released in 2021. No other additional casting has been confirmed at the moment. Charles Roven and Peter Safran are producing.
