Warner Bros. Announces Release Dates for SUICIDE SQUAD 2, THE WITCHES

Warner Bros has announced the release dates of many major film titles, according to Deadline.

Matt Reeves' The Batman will be released on June 25, 2021. This film will not feature, Ben Affleck, however, as it is meant to follow a younger Batman.

Warne Bros also announced the release of the The Shining sequel Doctor Sleep, which will open in theaters on November 8. The film was moved up from its initial January 24, 2020 release. The film is produced by Trevor Macy and Jon Berg produce. Doctor Sleep will rival Sonic the Hedgehog, the untitled Will Packer comedy and Roland Emmerich's Midway.

Bob Zemeckis' take on Roald Dahl's novel The Witches will open in theaters on October 16, 2020. The film stars Anne Hathaway with Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Alfonso Cuarón, Guillermo del Toro and Luke Kelly producing.

DC Super Pets will be released on May 21, 2021, taking the place of a WB event title on that date. Super Pets is still the only film scheduled on the weekend preceding the Memorial Day stretch. Jared Stern and Sam Levine are directing with Patty Hicks producing.

An untitled WB event film will open on July 16, 2021. It's the only title currently on the date.

The Suicide Squad sequel will open on Aug. 6, 2021. Charles Roven and Peter Safran are producing, and James Gunn is penning the script and in talks to direct.

Another untitled WB event film will also be released October 1, 2021.
