Legendary stage and screen star James Earl Jones, whose iconic voice and distinguished career spanned over seven decades in film, theater, and television, has passed away at the age of 93.

Left on Tenth has announced the full creative team for the new Broadway play.  The production is set to begin performances at The James Earl Jones Theatre on September 26, with its official opening on October 23.

The production is entirely fused with the bluish glow of the cellphones which tether the characters together and, in many ways, the continued relevance of the themes of the piece shine through. Musings on connections and loneliness seem freshly pertinent as Bobbie flicks through voicemails alone in her tiny apartment.

Knopf Books for Young Readers has recently published a new picture book about EGOT winner James Earl Jones. Ode to Grapefruit: How James Earl Jones Found His Voice chronicles the actor's struggles and ultimate success in overcoming the stutter that he had as a child.

The Broadway revival, Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Company, winner of five 2022 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival, will run August 20-25 at The Smith Center in Las Vegas.
